The Existence of God—AP Materials for All Ages

From Issue: R&R – Issue 44 #8

Contemplating whether or not God exists is the most fundamental and important thought a human being can ever have. As important as it is to ask, “What must I do to be saved?” or “Does it matter which church I choose to identify with?” logically speaking, a much more central question—the one question that lies at the heart of it all—is, “Does God exist?”

According to a Gallup poll conducted in the U.S. in May 2023, 26% of Americans claim that they do not believe in God or are unsure if He exists (12% and 14%, respectively). Belief in God is down 16% in the U.S. since 2001. Another 2023 survey (by Statista) indicated that of the 70+ percent of theists in the U.S., as many as 22% do not believe in God as described in the Bible. In many other countries around the world, the percentage of believers in God, and specifically the God of the Bible, only gets lower (and often much lower).

Needless to say, there is much work to be done, and Apologetics Press is here to help. AP exists for the purpose of (1) helping non-Christians come to know God and (2) helping Christians have the tools to help non-Christians come to a rational belief in God.

Tons of free material is available electronically at apologeticspress.org and on the AP app. From free articles to PDF books to videos, materials on the existence of God are only a quick click or scroll away. Christians can also purchase AP’s tract, 7 Reasons to Believe in God, to hand out to classmates, co-workers, and neighbors. Consider using AP’s 10-lesson Introductory Christian Evidences Study Course in which 50% of the material focuses on evidence for God and His creation. Check out our books for kids (such as How Do You Know God Is Real?), for teens (such as Defending God: His Existence & Creation), as well as for adults (such as Does God Exist?).

1 Peter 3:15 challenges us to “always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks [us] a reason for the hope that is in [us], with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15). A Christian’s hope of eternal life logically begins with the reality of God. Let’s tell others of Him and the evidence for His existence.
