AP Staff Spotlight: Dr. Jeff Miller, Director of the Creation Research Program
Dr. Jeff Miller has been a vital part of the work at Apologetics Press since joining the staff full-time in January 2011 after earning his Ph.D. from Auburn University. For over a decade, he has served as Associate Editor of Reason & Revelation. He is also the author or co-author of several books, including Science vs. Evolution, which critically examines the laws of science and their implications regarding naturalistic evolution, as well as Flooded, which is the culmination of a decade of creation research and fieldwork. (The newly revised and expanded second edition of Flooded is due back from the printer later this year.) Jeff also stays busy leading tours and teaching courses at key Creation/Flood-related sites in Arizona. (For more information, see apologeticspress.org/guided-creation-tours/.)

Dr. Miller has participated in numerous geologic field expeditions with leading Creation geologists/paleontologists. In 2014 and 2016, he explored the Lance Formation in Wyoming—sediment thought to have been deposited late in the Flood—focusing on seismites and other Flood-related evidence. In 2015, he studied dinosaur fossil beds in the same formation and excavated several dinosaur fossils, including a large Edmontosaurus maxillary (upper jawbone). That same year, he traveled deep into the Grand Canyon to examine evidence for the rapid deposition of the Canyon strata during the Flood and the subsequent carving of the Canyon during the post-Flood Ice Age. Since 2017, he has investigated nearly 100 caves across the U.S., identifying the evidence of rapid cave formation through hypogene speleogenesis, consistent with a Flood-based framework.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Miller was recently promoted to Director of the Creation Research Program (CRP) at Apologetics Press. This promotion is well-deserved. Jeff’s dedication to both scientific excellence and biblical fidelity makes him highly qualified to lead AP’s CRP. If the Lord wills, under Dr. Miller’s leadership, we look forward to expanding our efforts (1) in defending Biblical Creation through careful, honest, and rigorous scientific research and writing, and (2) in equipping Christians with the tools they need to respond rationally to the unsubstantiated claims of naturalistic evolution, as we seek to help a lost world see the evidence for our great Creator.
